Content Creation
Project Overview
As a part of a hands-on workshop for my content marketing course, I was assigned to provide content, strategy, and development services for Cavanaugh Photography, a local photography studio. The goal of this project was to provide the business with a wealth of content to choose from.
I worked with six other students to write articles for this local business and create a variety of content including social graphics, infographics, videos, and a staged article webpage. My team developed fourteen unique articles with social graphics, infographics, and videos related to each article. To see the full client memo click here.
Project Scope
I worked with a team of other digital marketing students to create an agreed upon style for the brand based on the client's wants and needs.

After meeting with the business owners, we created two distinct brand personas to focus our content around.

I started out by writing articles for the company's website and then repurposed the content into sample graphics for socials and short videos using Canva and Adobe Express, respectively.
I also created a web page to present all of the content to the clients. My team used google drive to share all the content with the client in an organized, digestible way.
Planning Process
The project began with an initial client assessment. My team researched our company's social platforms and website and developed a list of questions for the client.
We then had a discovery meeting with the client. They gave us a better idea of their target customer and where most of their sales came from.

After this meeting, we developed two brand personas based on the client's most frequent customers. For each persona we created demographics, goals, and paint points.
Creation Process
The first piece of content I created was an article titled "3 Ways Senior Pictures Can Boost Your Child’s Self-Esteem". This piece of content was developed for our mom persona.

The second article I wrote was titled "How To Take The Best Group Pictures For School". This article targeted our principal persona. I used Headline Studio to create the most effective titles for both articles.

Throughout the course of this project I repurposed both articles into social graphics, infographics, and videos using Canva and Adobe Express.

I followed an agreed upon branding and color scheme for the graphics and videos I created. We often critiqued other team member's work and received feedback on our designs as well.
Outcomes
I gained extensive experience on repurposing content and valuable writing experience as well. Prior to this project, I had not written articles for a business.

Since this project, I gained more confidence in different styles of writing and have written articles for my university's newspaper as well as blog posts for the national mental health nonprofit Active Minds.

The client gained a large amount of content to use for their business. My team developed fourteen unique articles with social graphics, infographics, and videos related to each article.
